Breaking: 1,911,769 applicants jostle for CDCFIB job as recruitment exercise officially closed

A total of 1,911,769 applicants have applied for positions in the Civil Defence, Fire Service, Immigration, and Correctional Services Board (CDCFIB) as the recruitment exercise officially closed on Monday, August 11, 2025. The highest number of applicants came from Kogi and Kaduna, while Bayelsa had the lowest number of applicants.

The recruitment portal had initially faced technical glitches, leading to a temporary suspension and extension of the application deadline by one week. The Secretary General, Rtd Jibril, stated that the extension aimed to provide additional opportunities for interested applicants.

The board emphasized its commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment process, despite the challenges faced with the portal. The portal is set to reopen on July 21 after necessary adjustments.

Applicants from various states across Nigeria have been encouraged to remain patient as the board works to resolve any issues encountered during the application process.
