AAC Requests Presidential Villa for Sowore's Campaign Launch

The African Action Congress (AAC) has formally requested President Bola Tinubu to approve the use of the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, for the inauguration of its Presidential Campaign Council scheduled for November 11, 2026. This request was made in a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by AAC National Secretary Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena.

The party is seeking food, drinks, and logistical support for 5,000 participants, including supporters from Nigeria and abroad, as part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections. The AAC argues that granting these requests would reflect the Presidency's commitment to fairness and equal access to public institutions, regardless of political affiliation.

The party emphasized that similar arrangements had been made for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) during a comparable political event. The AAC also requested communication regarding the procedures and conditions for the approval of the proposed ceremony.
