Court Bars Utomi from Forming Shadow Govt, Citing Security Concerns

The Federal High Court in Abuja has prohibited Professor Pat Utomi, an ally of Peter Obi, from forming a shadow government in Nigeria, deeming the act unconstitutional and a threat to national peace and security. The court upheld the Department of State Services' argument that Utomi's actions could destabilize the country.

Justice James Omotosho emphasized the court's jurisdiction to address the issue, inviting legal experts for input. The ruling prevents Utomi, a strong ally of the Labour Party, from proceeding with the formation of a parallel government.
