APC Sweeps Rivers LG Elections, Secures Majority Seats in Key Areas

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the Rivers State local government council elections, winning the majority of seats. Out of the 23 local government areas, APC secured 20 chairmanship seats while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won three.

This outcome solidifies APC's dominance in grassroots politics in Rivers State, with significant wins in both urban and rural LGAs. Notably, APC secured victories in key areas like Akuku Toru, Andoni, and Ikwerre.

The PDP, on the other hand, retained its stronghold in some areas but saw a decrease in council seats compared to previous elections, indicating a shift in political dynamics in the state.
