Rivers LG Poll 2027 Results Unveiled - APC Dominance Revealed

The Rivers Local Government poll results for 2027 have been announced, revealing the APC's dominance in 20 out of the 23 local government areas, with the PDP securing three chairmanship positions. Following President Bola Tinubu's declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State in March, Governor Siminalayi Fubara was suspended, and Ngozi Odu was elected as a member of the state House of Assembly.

This decision aimed to restore stability amidst political turmoil caused by a feud between Fubara and the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. Michael Odey was sworn in as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State following the emergency declaration.
