Setback for Attempt to Block Mark, Aregbesola from ADC Leadership

A move to prevent Senator David Mark and former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola from assuming leadership roles in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) faced a setback in the Federal High Court in Abuja. The court faulted the plaintiff's failure to serve the defendants properly, leading to an adjournment of the case.

The presiding judge highlighted the necessity of individual service to each defendant unless substituted service is granted. The plaintiff's counsel acknowledged the error in the service method and requested time to rectify it.

The court directed immediate service to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the defendants, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
