Court Halts Mark, Aregbesola from Leading ADC Amid Legal Dispute

The Federal High Court has issued an interim injunction preventing former Senate President David Mark and State Governor Rauf Aregbesola from assuming leadership roles in the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This order came following a suit filed by Nafiu Bala Gombe, the former Deputy National Chairman of the party, challenging the recognition of the new leadership by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The court directed INEC to recognize Mark and Aregbesola in their previous roles pending the resolution of the legal dispute. This development stems from the dissolution of the previous National Working Committee of the ADC and the appointment of a new leadership team, which has sparked a legal battle within the party.
