Bandits Attack Kaduna Farms, Farmers Killed and Abducted

Armed bandits attacked farming communities in Kaduna State, specifically targeting Dunya and Shado in Kuyello Ward, Birnin Gwari area, while farmers were working. Several farmers were killed, and others were injured or abducted during the assault.

A local source informed SaharaReporters that the attacks caused panic, forcing farmers to flee the affected areas due to fears of further violence. The exact number of casualties and abductions remains unconfirmed.

This incident has heightened concerns regarding the safety of farmers in the region, which has been plagued by attacks from armed groups. Notably, this attack occurred shortly after security forces, including the Joint Task Force, conducted significant operations in the area, arresting a suspected terrorist kingpin and recovering ammunition and communication devices linked to planned attacks.

Efforts to obtain comments from the Kaduna State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
