Bayelsa Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo Dies After Sudden Collapse

Bayelsa State Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo passed away after collapsing unexpectedly while on official duty at the Government House. He was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Yenagoa, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The 60-year-old deputy governor had been serving in his role since February 2020. The death was confirmed by Lere Olayinka, media aide to the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

The incident has shocked the state and the nation.
