Benue Lawmaker Ojema Ojotu Resigns from PDP, Joins APC Amidst Internal Crisis

Benue State lawmaker Ojema Ojotu has resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ojotu, who represented the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, attributed his defection to the lingering crisis within the PDP.

The announcement was made during a plenary session presided over by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu. Ojotu mentioned consulting with his constituents, family, and political associates before making the decision to defect to the APC.

This move comes amidst a wave of defections from the PDP to the APC, with members citing internal leadership crises within the opposition party.
