Benue PDP House Member Defects to APC for Better Representation and Development

Hon. Agom Anthony, a member of the Benue State House Assembly representing Okpokwu State Constituency, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The lawmaker cited the need for better representation and contribution to the growth and development of his constituency as reasons for his decision. Hon.

Agom's defection, which followed wide consultations with political stakeholders and constituents, is seen as a move to align with the progressive agenda of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia. The lawmaker expressed confidence in the leadership and developmental vision of the Governor, believing that joining the APC would foster unity, peace, and progress in Benue State.
