Court Grants Bail to Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu's Associates After Arrests

The Magistrate Court in Kuje, Abuja, granted bail to human rights activists associated with the arrests of Sowore and Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer and brother. The activists, including Aloy Ejimakor and Emmanuel Kanu, were charged with unlawful assembly and disturbing public peace.

The court ordered bail of 500,000 Naira and set conditions like providing tax clearance certificates. Nnamdi Kanu is facing a terror trial, and his new lawyer requested time to prepare the defense.

The arrests have drawn condemnation for stifling dissent and silencing activists.
