Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price Ahead of Yuletide, Intensifies Competition

Dangote Refinery has drastically reduced its ex-depot petrol price from N828 to N699 per liter, marking a substantial 15.58% reduction. This move is aimed at outpacing the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in the fuel market.

The price cut, the 20th adjustment in 2025, comes just before the festive period, where fuel demand typically surges. This reduction is expected to increase competition among fuel operators as they prepare for the high consumption during the Yuletide season.
