Dangote Cuts Petrol Price for Christmas as OPEC Maintains Production Cuts

Dangote Refinery has lowered its petrol price to N840 per liter as Nigerians prepare for the Christmas travel rush. This move has led to other depots like AIPEC, NIPCO, Rainoil, Sigmund, Master Energy, and Northwest adjusting their rates accordingly.

The adjustment is attributed to the significant drop in Brent crude prices to around $60 per barrel. Additionally, OPEC members recently met to review global market conditions and reaffirmed their decision to maintain production cuts to stabilize the oil market.

The cartel plans to closely monitor market behavior and compliance ahead of their next meeting in January 2026.
