DSS Arraigns El-Rufai for Alleged Phone Conversation Access

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arraigned former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai over allegations of illegal access to a phone conversation involving the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. The charges against El-Rufai include five counts of unlawful access to telecommunications, which are deemed to involve national security matters.

El-Rufai, who previously served as a minister in the Federal Capital Territory, is facing prosecution in the Federal High Court in Abuja. The proceedings are set to commence on Thursday.

The prosecution informed the court that the charges have increased from three to five counts, indicating a serious escalation in the legal proceedings against him.
