FG Declares October 1 Public Holiday for Nigeria's 65th Independence

The Federal Government has declared October 1, 2025, as a public holiday to commemorate Nigeria's 65th Independence Anniversary. Minister of Interior Olubunmi announced the holiday, urging Nigerians to uphold patriotism, unity, and resilience.

The statement signed by the ministry's Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani, congratulated citizens at home and abroad, encouraging them to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda for national rebirth and economic transformation. The Minister expressed optimism for Nigeria's continued progress and development through collective efforts, wishing all Nigerians a joyous Independence Day celebration.
