Nigerian Coalition Demands Minister Wike's Immediate Sack Over Alleged Misconduct

A coalition of 600 civil society organizations in Nigeria has demanded the immediate removal of Minister Wike for his alleged reckless behavior and disrespect towards authority. The coalition, led by the Good Governance Network (GGN), condemned Wike's actions as an affront to governance and threw their support behind former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, for speaking out against Wike's behavior.

The coalition outlined several demands, including continued monitoring of the situation until action is taken. The Minister's verbal confrontation with Wike, where he allegedly called him a "big fool," has sparked outrage and calls for disciplinary action.

The coalition warns that ignoring the matter could set a dangerous precedent of disrespecting national institutions without consequences.
