600 Civil Society Groups Demand Nyesom Wike's Sack Over Verbal Assault on Naval Officer

Over 600 Civil Society Groups are calling for the dismissal of Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State, due to his verbal assault on a Naval officer in Abuja. The groups, including the Good Governance Network and Citizen Watch Forum, condemned Wike's behavior as reckless and unacceptable, demanding his immediate removal for disrespecting the military institution.

Former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, supports the call for Wike's dismissal. The coalition also urges President Bola Tinubu to take swift action within 48 hours to restore confidence in the government and protect national unity.
