BREAKING: Fulani Herdsmen Wreck Fresh Havoc in Benue State

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have launched a fresh attack in the Egwuma Ogbai community in Benue State, resulting in the deaths of at least four people, including a mother and her son. Eyewitnesses reported that the victims were working on a farm when they were attacked, with several others sustaining injuries and two individuals still missing.

Inalegwu, a local resident, recounted the brutal incident, highlighting the unprovoked and senseless nature of the attack. The Chairman of Agatu LGA, Melvin James, condemned the assault, noting that security operatives in the area are working to address the situation.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Udeme Edet, confirmed the incident but stated that they are yet to receive a formal report. This latest assault has heightened fear among residents in Agatu, who have been repeatedly targeted in violent attacks.
