Anambra Governor Soludo Plans Demolition of Onitsha Main Market Over Non-Compliance

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has declared his intention to demolish the Onitsha Main Market following traders' non-compliance with a sit-at-home order.

Soludo accuses external forces of sabotaging the state's economy and vows to take drastic measures, including revoking shop ownership. He emphasizes the need to restore normal economic activities and criticizes the impact of the shutdown on government revenue, trader families, education, and overall state stability.

Soludo also reveals plans to recertify shop ownership and warns traders unwilling to operate that their shops will be revoked. The governor links the sit-at-home order to political motives and promises to expose those behind it.

Additionally, Soludo discloses the enrollment of 15,000 youths in the state's amnesty and rehabilitation program. The governor's actions aim to strengthen the state's economy and prevent further economic weakening.
