Gunmen Kill Three Police Officers in Kogi State Checkpoint Attack

Gunmen killed three police officers in a violent attack at a security checkpoint in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area, Kogi State. The assailants engaged the officers in a fierce gun battle, resulting in the death of the officers.

The attackers, who reportedly came from Kwara State, also stole a vehicle during the incident. In a separate attack in Kwara State, bandits targeted a Fulani settlement, killing one person and rustling hundreds of cows.

Witnesses reported the assailants arrived around midnight, firing shots and stealing cattle. The incidents have raised concerns about security in the region.
