BREAKING: Like JAMB, WAEC Admits "Technical Issue" amid Mass Failure Criticism

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has admitted to a "technical issue" in the recently released 2025 WASSCE results, similar to what JAMB experienced. The examination body apologized for the issue and promised to resolve it within the next 24 hours with transparency and urgency.

The technical issue involved paper serialisation in subjects like Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics. WAEC urged affected candidates to recheck their results within 24 hours.

The Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola Adesina, assured the public of WAEC's commitment to upholding excellence, fairness, and transparency in the assessment process. The 2025 WASSCE results have faced criticism, with concerns raised by parents, teachers, students, and higher institutions about the credibility of the exams.

WAEC recorded a 5-year low in the 2025 WASSCE results compared to previous years.
