Makinde Declares Presidential Bid Under APM for 2027

On Thursday, Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, officially declared his intention to run for the presidency of Nigeria in the 2027 elections under the People's Movement (APM). This announcement was made during a rally organized jointly with the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Makinde urged opposition leaders to unite against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), describing their efforts as a deliberate attempt to redirect Nigeria's political landscape. He emphasized that Nigeria can no longer operate as a democracy without a political environment that guarantees equal playing ground for opposition parties, free from interference.

Makinde called on Nigerians to rise above the current political situation and actively participate in the electoral process, highlighting the importance of collective action to reset Nigeria's historical record in the upcoming elections.
