Brigadier General O.O. Braimah, the Brigade Commander of the Joint Task Force in Borno State, was reportedly executed by terrorists from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during a midnight attack on a military camp in Benisheikh, Kaga Local Government Area.

This incident occurred on a Thursday night, as confirmed by security analyst Brant Philip. The attack targeted the Nigerian military camp, leading to significant casualties among security personnel.

Local sources indicated that several members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) were also killed in the coordinated assault. Malam Lawal Benisheikh confirmed the incident via a Facebook post, expressing condolences and lamenting the loss of life.
