Otedola Sues Umar Sani for ₦1bn Over False Subsidy Fraud Allegations

Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has filed a ₦1 billion libel suit against Umar Sani, a former aide to President Namadi Sambo, over fuel subsidy fraud allegations. Otedola refuted claims linking his company, Zenon Petroleum & Gas Limited, to subsidy fraud, labeling them as false and malicious.

He clarified that Zenon never traded Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) during the subsidy regime and highlighted his role as a whistleblower in exposing subsidy fraud. Otedola also referenced his involvement in the Farouk Lawan bribery scandal, emphasizing his cooperation with authorities in the investigation.

The lawsuit aims to protect Otedola's reputation and address the false accusations made against him.
