Nigerian Parents Block Finance Ministry Over Unpaid Student Allowances

Parents of Nigerian students studying abroad under government scholarships stormed the Finance Ministry in Abuja on Monday, demanding the payment of outstanding allowances. The parents highlighted that their children, beneficiaries of various bilateral education agreements and scholarship schemes, have not received stipends for 16 months, with an additional eight-month shortfall remaining unsettled.

The protest reflects the grievances of individuals affected by the delay in allowance disbursement.
