PDP Crisis Deepens: Faction Suspends Acting National Chairman and Top Officials

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) is embroiled in a deepening crisis as a faction led by Samuel Anyanwu suspends the party's acting national chairman, Umar Damagum, and five other top officials. The suspension was announced in Abuja by Senator Samuel Anyanwu, citing financial misconduct, incompetence, and disregard for court judgments.

Anyanwu appointed Moham Abdulrahman as the new acting national chairman. The faction also suspended several other officials for various infractions, including the party's public secretary and deputy national vice chairman.
