Governor of Bauchi State, a member of the PDP, has fired a top cabinet member, Zainab, over an alleged affair with a woman and child development issues. The decision was made with immediate effect, as confirmed by Mukhtar Gidado, the governor's special adviser.

Additionally, two civil servants were dismissed for forgery offenses. The state executive council underwent minor changes as part of efforts to sanitize the system.

The first lady of Bauchi State, Aisha Bala Mohammed, was honored with a Peace Ambassador Award. The move aims to uphold discipline in the civil service and ensure transparency in governance.
