PENGASSAN Halts Gas Supply to Dangote Refinery Amid Labor Dispute

PENGASSAN has ordered the immediate shutdown of gas supply to Dangote Refinery amid a labor dispute. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria directed the suspension of gas and crude oil supplies to the refinery, accusing the management of unjustly dismissing unionized workers.

The union emphasized the need for genuine dialogue and condemned the alleged misinformation and propaganda by the refinery. PENGASSAN vowed nationwide solidarity action unless the company addresses the workers' grievances.

The decision follows the reported layoff of 800 Nigerian workers, sparking tensions between the union and the refinery management.
