Enugu Governor Peter Mbah Defects to APC, Citing Development Vision

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to better serve Enugu State and align with the APC's development vision. The governor announced his decision at a press conference on October 14, 2025.

This defection follows the resignations of other PDP members like Ud Okoy and the confirmation by Ben Nwoy, the APC National Secretary Chairman of the state's APC caretaker committee. Bashir Ahmad, a chieftain of the APC, disclosed that Governor Mbah is the third PDP governor to join the APC in 2025, signaling a significant political realignment in the state.
