Peter Obi Defects to ADC from Labour Party Ahead of 2027 Elections

Former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State has officially left the Labour Party to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in a bid to rescue Nigeria from poor governance. The defection, announced in Enugu, signals Obi's intention to collaborate with opposition leaders across the country.

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, a leader of Obi's movement, explained the reasons behind the switch to ADC.

Analysts speculate that Obi's move from Labour Party to ADC marks the beginning of a journey to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections.
