Peter Obi Resigns from ADC Citing Political Hostility

Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate, has officially announced his resignation from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In a personal statement shared on Sunday via X platform, Obi cited a deepening internal crisis and a toxic political environment in Nigeria as reasons for his departure.

He clarified that his decision was not motivated by personal grievances against key party figures, including ADC National Chairman David Mark and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom he holds in high regard. Obi's exit mirrors challenges he faced previously with the Labour Party, where he experienced unnecessary crises and hostility.
