Peter Obi Confirms Departure from ADC Amid Challenges

Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate, has officially announced his departure from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In his statement, Obi described the current political climate in Nigeria as hostile and discouraging, particularly within political alliances where individuals sometimes face unexpected opposition and criticism.

He clarified that his decision to leave was not influenced by personal issues or the actions of party leaders, including David Mark and Atiku Abubakar. Obi also referenced earlier challenges he faced within the Labour Party and reaffirmed his belief in leadership and service, stressing the importance of using power to uplift others rather than oppress them.

Despite the challenges, he remains hopeful for Nigeria's future, focusing on improving security, economic conditions, and citizen welfare.
