Tinubu Announces Eight Key Appointments in Nigeria

On Monday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved eight key appointments, prominently naming Ibrahim Ida as the Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Strategic Communications.

Ibrahim Ida brings extensive experience in public administration and finance, having previously served as the Commission's Finance Permanent Secretary in Katsina State. He was also elected to the Senate in 2017, representing Katsina Central, and holds a Master's degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan, along with a law degree from the University of Abuja.

Additionally, President Tinubu nominated seven individuals for the National Population Commission (NPC), pending confirmation by the National Assembly. The nominees include Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi from Ekiti, Nasiru Muazu from Zamfara, Usman Abubakar Tuggar from Bauchi, Isaka Alada Yahaya from Kwara, Sadiq Isah Radda from Katsina, Suleiman Umar from Jigawa, and Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo from Sokoto.

The President expressed confidence that these appointees will contribute effectively to his administration's governance agenda and advance national development priorities.
