Tinubu Appoints CAC Chairman and NPC Commissioners

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Senator Ibrahim Ida as the chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and nominated seven individuals to fill vacant positions at the National Population Commission (NPC). The announcement was made in a statement issued by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga on Monday in Abuja.

Senator Ida holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan (1983) and an LLB from the University of Abuja (2003). He was elected to the Senate in 2017, representing Katsina Central and has served in the Katsina State Finance Commission and as a permanent secretary in the Federal Civil Service.

The nominees for the NPC represent various states and include Kolawole Alabi from Ekiti, Nasiru Muazu from Zamfara, Usman Tuggar from Bauchi, Dr. Isaka Yahaya from Kwara, Prof.

Sadiq Radda from Katsina, Suleiman Umar from Jigawa, and Hon. Chiso Dattijo from Sokoto.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the National Assembly.
