Prominent Islamic Scholar Imam Muhammad Nasir Passes Away

Imam Muhammad Nasir Musa Gwani, the chairman of the Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) in Makurdi, has died, an event described as an “irreplaceable loss.” His death was announced by Yusuf Mohammed Magaji, the secretary of the Sunnah Youths Association, North Bank Branch, through a signed statement on Sunday morning, August 23. Magaji praised Imam Gwani as a revered Islamic scholar who dedicated his life to educating Muslims.

He noted that the association had appointed Imam Gwani as its patron just three months prior to his passing, intensifying the sense of loss among its members. The cleric's death has triggered widespread grief across Islamic communities, with many mourning the loss of a respected leader.

The Sunnah Youths Association extended condolences to Imam Gwani's family, the JIBWIS Branch, and Muslims globally, closing with a prayer for the late scholar.
