Rivers State Government Transitions to Democratic Rule with Thanksgiving Service

Rivers State Government announced the transition from emergency rule to democratic governance in a statement by Secretary of State Government, Ibibia Lucky Worika. An interdenominational thanksgiving service was held on Sunday, September 14, at the Ecumenical Centre in Abonima, Port Harcourt, to mark this transition.

Dignitaries including government officials, traditional rulers, and industry leaders were invited to the service as part of the activities to usher in democratic governance in Rivers State.
