Rivers State Prepares for End of Emergency Rule Amid High Expectations

Rivers State is anticipating the end of a six-month emergency rule imposed by President Bola Tinubu, set to expire on Thursday. The emergency rule was declared due to instability in the state government, resulting from conflicts between the Executive and Legislative arms.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara and other state officials were suspended during this period. Nigerians are eagerly awaiting the return of democratic governance to Rivers State, following recent local government elections supervised by a Sole Administrator.
