The Rivers State House of Assembly has urged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to promptly submit a list for screening and confirmation upon his return to office, following the lifting of the emergency rule by President Bola Tinubu. Lawmakers reconvened for their first plenary session after the suspension triggered by the emergency rule declaration.

The Assembly praised the restoration of democratic governance and pledged to uphold agreements to safeguard peace and stability in the state.
