Nigerian Senate Confirms Tinubu's New Service Chiefs for National Security

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed President Bola Tinubu's nominees for key military positions, such as General Olufemi Oluyede as Chief of Defence Staff and Major General Wahidi Shaibu as Chief of Army Staff. The confirmation also includes Rear Admiral Idi Abba as Chief of Naval Staff and Air Vice Marshal Kennedy Anek as Chief of Air Staff.

The Senate's approval came after a strategic session aimed at boosting national security and strengthening the operational capacity of the armed forces.
