Senator Barinada Mpigi of River State Passes Away

Senator Barinada Mpigi, a member of the People's Democratic Party, has died at the age of 64, as confirmed by sources on Thursday morning. Born on June 23, 1961, Mpigi represented the South East Senatorial District of River State.

He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2011 and was re-elected for a second term in 2016. In 2019, he was elected to the Senate, continuing to represent the River South East Senatorial District.
