Governor Fubara Mourns Senator Barinada Mpigi's Death

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has expressed his condolences following the death of Senator Barinada Mpigi, who represented the River South East Senatorial District. The circumstances surrounding Mpigi's death have not been immediately disclosed.

Akin Alabi, the chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Works, confirmed this sad development. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, Fubara described the late senator as a committed politician and a prominent leader in Rivers State.

He emphasized that Mpigi's contributions were greatly needed at the time of his passing. Fubara extended his condolences to the senator's family and the people of River South East, urging them to find comfort in the positive impact that the late lawmaker made during his life.

Senator Mpigi was 64 years old at the time of his death and served as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Works.
