Taraba Assembly Speaker and 15 Lawmakers Defect from PDP to APC

In a significant political development, the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Kizito Bonzena, along with 15 lawmakers, has officially defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The defection was attributed to deepening factional crises within the PDP at both national and state levels.

Among the defecting lawmakers are key figures like the Deputy Speaker, Hamman Adama, and major leaders such as Abdullai Bali, Jethro Yakubu, Enem Kurmi, and others.
