BREAKING: Tinubu approves ₦16.7bn for reconstruction of Mokwa bridge in Niger (VIDEO)

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the release of ₦16.7 billion for the immediate reconstruction of the Mokwa Bridge in Niger State, which was destroyed by flooding in May. The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this announcement during a meeting in Abakaliki on Saturday.

He praised Tinubu's administration for addressing urgent infrastructure challenges and thanked President for the approval. Minister Idris also commended Senator Dave Umahi for his quick response to the disaster.

Umahi, in turn, described Tinubu as a compassionate leader who listens and is committed to easing the difficulties faced by Nigerians. The approved infrastructure projects will extend to six zones in the country and include the reconstruction of bridges in various states like Taraba, Kwara, and Edo.
