Turaki-Led PDP Faction in Rivers Collapses Into Wike's Group, Ending Factionalism

The Tanimu Turaki-led faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has collapsed into the group led by Nyesom Wike, with Aaron Chukwuemeka now at the helm. The collapse occurred during Wike's visit to the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, where Robinson Nname Ewor, the faction chairman of Turaki-led PDP in the state, declared the merger.

This development signifies the end of factionalism within the PDP in Rivers State, aligning the party under a single leadership led by Wike. Ewor handed over the chairmanship to Chukwuemeka, emphasizing that the PDP is no longer factionalized in the state.

The move comes amidst accusations by Ewor against Siminalayi Fubara, claiming that he misled PDP members about political strength and power struggles in the state.
