Soludo, who apologized for his past actions despite being from a different political party, highlighted his support for Tinubu based on shared progressive ideals and a longstanding personal friendship. In a separate development, the full list of candidates for the Anambra state election was released, with 16 political parties cleared to participate.

However, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, criticized Tinubu's administration in a recent interview, alleging his removal from the SGF position in 2017. Tinubu's government has faced scrutiny from various quarters, including former presidents.
