Princess Nnenna Orji Wins Best Actress Award in Africa

Nollywood actress Princess Nnenna Orji has been awarded Best Actress in Africa by Breakthrough Awards Uganda, recognizing her outstanding talent and contributions to the African film and performing arts industry. The award acknowledges her ability to deliver memorable performances with emotional depth and authenticity.

In a video message, Princess Orji expressed her gratitude to the organizers and supporters, stating, “This is me saying a very big thank you to Breakthrough Awards Uganda for crowning me the Best Actress in Africa.” She also congratulated fellow nominees and extended special thanks to Ugandan actor Shali Ahmed for his support. Princess Orji's career began as a child actress, and after completing her education with a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, she returned to the industry with renewed determination.

She has starred in several successful productions, including "Saved By The Maid," released in June 2026 on Global Crown TV. This recognition underscores the growing influence of Nollywood across Africa and her commitment to impactful storytelling.
