Brigade Commander Feared Killed in Boko Haram Attack

In a recent coordinated attack by Boko Haram insurgents, Brigade Commander Brig Gen Braimah is feared killed. The assault occurred early Thursday at approximately 1 AM in Benisheikh, following an earlier attack on Pulka at around 10:30 PM on Wednesday.

The insurgents overran military bases, setting vehicles ablaze and destroying commercial vehicles. Local sources reported that the attack resulted in the loss of several military personnel, including Brig Gen Braimah, who was noted for his leadership.

The insurgents also looted food items and destroyed facilities in Pulka, where thousands of displaced people are currently seeking refuge. The attack is part of ongoing violence in the region, with the Joint Task Force North East Operations yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
