BUA, AD Ports, MAIR Sign MOU for Sugar Logistics Partnership

On Monday, BUA Group, AD Ports Group, and MAIR Group announced a strategic memorandum of understanding to explore collaboration in sugar refining and logistics. This agreement aims to reshape the food supply chain and enhance food security in the region.

The partnership will leverage BUA Group's extensive industrial logistics capabilities and AD Ports Group's world-class infrastructure at Khalifa Port to create an efficient end-to-end agro-industrial maritime trade platform. The initiative aligns with the UAE's food security strategy for 2051 and Nigeria's agricultural transformation agenda, focusing on expanding domestic production capacity and strengthening post-harvest handling.

The collaboration seeks to unlock new export markets and improve the traceability and quality of agricultural products. Abdul Samad Rabiu, Founder and Chairman of BUA Group, described the MOU as a milestone in the company's international expansion, emphasizing the importance of sustainable food product logistics solutions.

The partnership represents a strategic food corridor aimed at reinforcing Abu Dhabi's role as a global trade center.
