Jigawa Speaker Calls for Support of Tinubu in 2027 Election

Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, the Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly and Coordinator of the City Boy movement, called on Northerners to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 election. Speaking after an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Jahun, he highlighted that Tinubu and the Southwest were instrumental in helping the late President Muhammadu Buhari secure the presidency and serve two terms.

Dangyatin stated that Buhari's previous attempts at the presidency were unsuccessful until he received support from Tinubu and the Southwest. He emphasized the importance of reciprocating this support as a fulfillment of the understanding between the North and South.

Additionally, he clarified that the gathering in Jahun was not a formal campaign launch but rather a grassroots mobilization to introduce APC candidates to local party leaders ahead of the elections.
